It always was our passion to find simple and elegant solutions to problems which seem to be complex and challenging. We grew up studying math and programming, and enjoyed connecting pieces of technology puzzles together.
Talkatone (pronounced talk-a-tone) was born as a fun project. We just wanted to hack things up and make impossible possible. We wanted to make simple real-time communication tool which works everywhere. And when it was done we shared it with the world.
Talkatone works, it works for us, it works for our friends, it works for millions of people. In certain cases it's just a toy, but for many it's a pain killer. When people tell us how thankful they are, when we hear their stories it makes us happy.
We are at the very beginning of this journey, but we envision that in several years from now all sorts of real-time communications will be happening mostly over the Internet. It's free and belongs to people. People won't need to spend time to figure out how to communicate. Because it's a world where we are all connected.
Talkatone is a small, independent, privately held company located in Silicon Valley, California. All of us are engineers.
Our CEO, Danis Dayanov, always has lots of ideas. He wears many hats including product development and strategy. Prior to Talkatone, Danis was on engineering positions at LinkedIn which he joined in 2005 and worked on multiple products used by millions of users.
Danis was always passionate about making simple products which make human lives better. He graduated in 1998 from Kazan State Technical University in Russia with MS in Computer Science & Applied Mathematics.
